Product Description This opening fold-out contains a general map of Budapest to help you visualize the 6 large districts discussed in this guide, and 4 pages of valuable information, handy tips and useful addresses.
Discover Budapest through 6 districts and 6 maps
Királyi vár/ Várnegyed/ Víziváros Tabán/ Gellérthegy/ Villányi út Belváros/ Zsidó negyed/ József kör út Hõsök tere/ Városliget Lipótvaros/ Andrássy út Rózsadomb/ Margitsziget/ Óbuda
For each district there is a double-page of addresses (restaurants — listed in ascending order of price — cafés, bars, tearooms, baths, music venues and stores) followed by a fold-out map for the relevant area with the essential places to see (indicated on the map by a star *). These places are by no means all that Budapest has to offer but to us they are unmissable. The grid-referencing system (A B2) makes it easy for you to pinpoint addresses quickly on the map.
Transportation and hotels in Budapest The last fold-out consists of a transportation map and 4 pages of practical information that include a selection of hotels.
A thematic index lists all the sites and addresses featured in this guide.

| Customer Reviews: Always bring one with you November 21, 2007 Ikat (New York) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a great series - easy to carry, invaluable for walking around a city. Bring it instead of a map. Bring another guidebook in addition if you plan to visit a city in depth. I think that these guides, and Access guides, get it right - neighborhood maps with the relevant info all integrated, instead of information arranged by "category" e.g., sights, bars. I have been to more than 50 countries and travel very, very light so my addiction to this guide is genuine.
Good maps, needs supplement April 8, 2009 Lori (Baltimore) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I am a frequent traveler and these are the only books I will buy now. They will generally fit in a coat pocket or easily in a handbag, and are pretty inconspicuous for a map, even if you're walking down the street carrying it.
Do go to a bookstore or library to read a proper guidebook first. This has limited information on attractions and restaurants, but not enough to plan a trip.
A note on Budapest: Be sure to make the distinction between streets and avenues (Ut versus Utca). They are distinctly different and can be on opposite ends of the city. We learned this the hard way.
Budapest in miniature. July 28, 2010 Morgan Dontanville (New York, NY USA) As someone that likes to get lost a little and then discover new ways to wander back these maps couldn't be more helpful. This revealed some cool sights to see (most I wouldn't have known to look for) and let me wander to a destination with enough confidence to know I can get there without wasting any precious vacation time.
These books are super portable, and fold out easily without making you feel self-conscious.
The only gripe is that some streets either weren't on the map or weren't labeled. Still, it was a real boon.
